Aidan and Michael have arrived. We've gotten them settled upstairs for a nap. Michael is so cute, ginger hair and blue eyes, and about 5'5", which is good because Aidan is only about 5'8". Michael is 23 years old and has just finished up his studies. I think they're madly in love -- at least I hope so. They have been together for a few months and they are already talking about moving in together.
Marc and I are trying to talk Paul and Stevie into going to the beach with us next week. Paul is having trouble getting the time off from work and Stevie won't go without him. I asked mum and she is resigned to having all of us there. We'll have to rent an SUV if we all go. Can you say Gay Pajama Party???
Mum invited Marc and me to stay on Monday evening -- a step in the right direction. I think Caitlin has worked on her, also my Da. It's just silly that she can accept Aidan being gay but not me. It can't be because I won't have a family because Marco wants kids some day. And Cait will have more than enough kids to make her happy. I think she always wanted more brothers and sisters. I was always happy that it was just the two of us. I couldn't have shared her with sibs.
Sometimes when I think about Cait, I think I couldn't have lived if she wasn't in my life. Not like the Parker Posey character in The House of Yes or anything sick like that, but she always understood me, and never let me get away with anything.
Anyway, more later. Aidan and Michael will be waking up and Marc has promised a lavish dinner. BTW, the zuppe de pesche was wonderful. I think that sealed the deal with mum
